leafs 06/07 & bama 2010 depth charts

maple leafs depth chart

some thoughts

Wellwood and Tucker will be playing with Sundin. Look for Wellwood to have a big year. Kaberle and McCabe will both win a rare split Norris Trophy. Also of note is Alexander Steen playing with Michael Peca on the second line. I predict that Steen will have a 100 point season. The Leafs will also join the 72 Dolphins and the 2003 uconn women's basketball team going undefeated with an 82-0-0 record. I made the same prediciton for the Toronto Blue Jays saying that they would go 162-0, I was only off by 80 or so games.

My Bama team on the other hand, will not go undefeated in the 2010 season They sit at 1-1 having already lost a 16-14 heartbreaker to Clemson. Screw you C.J. Spiller. Anyways here's a preview of my offence, whether you like it or not

Quarteback
No questions here, JR Chad Arnold (part of my first recruiting class)came into the 2010 season with a 95 overall rating and 14-0 record as a starter. Coming from the same town as Helen Keller, Arnold spends his spare time teaching blind kids braille and deaf kids the art of sign language. Great leader indeed. 5 star JUCO stud Travis Spicer a rs-SO, serves as Arnold's prime backup.

Running Backs
The 1-2 punch of Steve Ferguson (87 OVR) and Dominic Coles (85 OVR) return for their sophmore campaign after rusing for over a combined 2,200 yards and 30TDs as true Freshman. JR Transfer Josh Reese (93 OVR) got kicked out of Ohio St and must sit out of year. He'll suit up in 2011

Receivers
In 2008 and 2009, I, errr I mean Joe Namath convinced the #1 WRs in the nation to sign with the tide. Joel Thompson in 2008 and Brandon Luke in 2009. JR Thompson (90 OVR) already had a bad start getting injured in the Clemson game, while SO Brandon Kuke (91 OVR) will serve as the star wideout. At 6'7 200 lbs, I will probably create him and put him on Bama, when I buy March Madness 07. SR Ben Arnold (86 OVR) and K-dub native SO Kenny Thornton 82 OVR, provide decent support. TE's Bryan Mitchell JR (OVR 85) and redshirt FR and Texas native Eric Goolsby (80 OVR) soldify the receiving core.

O-Line
This may be the weak point with only one returning starter, but there is some pride here as all 5 starters are in-state and there are two players from Tuscaloosa.

RT Wayne Hunter, rsSO (82 OVR) Tarrant
- was a 3 star recruit

RG Emanuel Henry, SO (84 OVR) Gelncoe
- also a 3 star recruit but was impressive as a True Freshman

C Casey Maynard, rsJR (86 OVR) Tuscaloosa
- fan favorite and part of 1st recruiting class

LG Tommy Jones SR (90 OVR) Prichard
- 1st 5 star recruit in my Dynasty, was the #2 G out of high school, 4th year as starter

LT Keith Williams rsSR (78 OVR) Tuscaloosa
- a personal favorite because he is a 3 star JUCO, however there are two true FR who have the same rating that will keep him on his toes

D- Preview to come later

go leafs, roll tide
