mylosh needs a memory enhancer

Holy smokes, I can't believe I forgot to mention in my Notre Dame game that the most insane thing happened in the last minute. How the heck did I forget to mention this while writing this blog? In the final minute Notre Dame actually scored a TD to take a 16-15 lead, however the play went up to the booth and it turns out that the UND WR stepped out of bounds and the play was reversed. With my recent lapses in short term memory I think its about time I get me hands on some Ginkgo Biloba. And the weird thing is, what triggered this memory was that I was in a local bookstore reading the back cover of Collapse from overrated author Jared Diamond (of Guns Germs and Steel fame) and I was like "Holy Shit, I forgot that UND had a TD overturned." Man my thearpist has a lot to work with here. Another thing I realized too was that my only loses this year were to teams from the state of South Carolina, home state of Kevin Garnett, Jermaine O'Neal and CL's political hero Strom Thurmond.

Anyways I watched the real Bama team play today and it was not the most entertaining game but it was close with The Vols winning by 3. I must admit now though (to the chagrin of one of my loyal fans) that something was missing this week in college ball for me, and a lot of it had to do with USC having a bye week. This year I found myself going out of my way to watch all their games and I'm actually liking this years team much better than Team Hollywood from last year.

In my Dynasty Mississippi St proved no problem as Bama won 31-0. However in the 1st quarter starting MLB and Las Vegas native JR Maurice Harrison tore his shoulder after intercepting a pass. He is out for the season putting R-SO Gavin Lee of Bowling Green, OH under a lot of pressure as his first two starts of his career will be against undefeated LSU and rival Auburn. In recruiting news Bama got commitments from 4 instate players and a soft verbal from a white TE from Los Angeles. But the loss of Harrison is certainly tough news on the road to Atlanta, here is how the top of the SEC West currently looks.

LSU 5-0
Bama 5-1
Auburn 5-1
Arkansas 4-2

Lastly Joe Namath's career record sits at 49-15, he has a chance to hit the magical half century mark with an upset over LSU

Bama back in Top 10 with a 15-10 upset over the Irish

For the first time in my life I was wishing I had not converted a 4th & inches down in the dying seconds of the 2nd quarter, for a TD. Only because it would have created an 11-10 final, the most awkward score in video game histroy.

Alabama travelled to South Bend against #5 Notre Dame (5-1) and at half time the score was 9-0. 7 points coming in the form of the aforementioned TD to super SO WR Brandon Luke and the other coming by means of a safety from SR OLB Brady Poppinga. From this point on the Notre Dame defense would control the game, I could not get into the end zone. Notre Dame soon found themselves up 10-9. My end zone problems continued, but thank good I had a stud kicker in Jason Hall of Washington, D.C. After missing 2 FGs in the 1st half, he hit two clutch FGs from beyond the 40 yard mark to give Alabama the 15-10 upset over Notre Dame. Bama now sits at 7-2 with a #9 ranking.

After two low scoring games on the road in Knoxville and South Bend, I'm relieved to play 0-8 Mississippi St. in Tuscaloosa. But there are about 7 recruits visiting, then afterwards its an away game against undefeated LSU #3 and then the Iron Bowl against #19 Auburn (6-2). In other Dynasty news SO WR Chris Carrie (87 OVR as a true SO!) of San Diego CA, who had Alabama as his number one choice until he signed with the University of Arizona, currently has 46 rec for 489 yards and 2 TDs. His FR year was impressive with 59 rec for 771 yards and 2 TDs. Beginning in 2011 on both my Dynasty and Riverdalepalmtree's Dynasty an annual U of A vs. U of A matchup will be held, the winner on aggregate will be awarded this trophy.

rejection fridays from wikiality

Spending another Friday night at work, so instead of finding rejection from drunk 18 years old girls at bars, I was finding it in the form of wikiality entries. I can't believe Colbert's crew rejected my entries for mylosh and laguna beach I will soon have my own wiki in hopes of taking over the world.

Oh ya I haven't had a Dynasty update in awhile, well because of work, but mostly because of TS playing Tiger Woods, ha! I want to get work done and go home, so this will be quick, I came in 5-2 ranked #14 against bitter rival Tennessee (who Bama is actually playing tomorrow!!!!!) who was also 5-2 but ranked #23. After using the Texas Tech playbook the last couple of games, I found that I was really missing my running game so I switched back to Pitt's playbook. And the running game was sweet, SO Star Steve Ferguson ran for 100 yards and 1 TD but what was more impressive was that his backup, Dominic Coles, also a SO, ran for 101 yards and the game winning TD! Chad Arnold controlled the pace of the game going 15-20 and 158 yards as Bama won this tight battle 17-16. So far all my Bama/Tenn games have been tight. Good thing I have a blog to remind me of things, because it looks like the last time I played Tennessee the score was 36-33 and I played it on a Saturday night alone, bitching about the new BC Liquor store bags and drinking by myself. Aren't you jealous of my life? Ahhh the memories!

No time to sleep however as Bama travels to South Bend to face #5 Notre Dame (5-1), their only loss being to undefeated LSU (6-0), whom the Tide play in 3 weeks

the value of education in miami

We've all seen the brew ha ha countless times but thanks to googletube, we are able to see the ligther side of things from the Miami Brawl with a school that hasn't updated its football website since August:

- Here's Miami Alum Lamar Thomas, showing the value of an education at "The U" (audio required)
- This guy is a political science prof
- miami film school (just watch 2 seconds and see the vid quality)
- FIU undergard Kelly is really drunk before the game (warning: no tripod was used)
- the actions on the field somehow goes into the stands, i still don't know whats going on here, but the narrator is "gonna puke, that was exciting"
- the guy featured in this clip, I believe is a media arts major, or perhaps landscape architecture, because yes it is his house
- hahahaha and this clip proves that even when searching for FIU Miami brawl clips you still end up with leafs highlights (read comment from "weirdguywithmoney")
- oh and of course bring on the googletube music vids:
music vid 1
music vid 2

- and lastly let's not forget that "The U" is environmentally friendly

how could you not love marketing

courtesy of Scott Carefoot who covers the Raptors (who by the way are on a roll in preseason) on raptorblog.com. Anyways the Sixers have a mascot named Hip Hop. Hahahaha, he's a bunny. Ya earn that Penn BComm!

cripple fight

oh dear, that miami derby over the weekend was crazy. Florida International is now one of my favorite schools.

Anyways TS has been hooked on Tiger Woods and I spent my weekend finishing season 1 of Prison Break, so I only had time to watch one full football game this weekend, but it was a good one with USC waking up in the 4th quarter against ASU. Kudos to the cameraman for the numerous cutaways on ASU and USC coeds. Man I love PAC 10 girls! I also could only work in one game in my Dynasty and it was a 34-20 victory over Ole Miss. RB Stever Ferugson woke out of his SO slump with 70 yards and 2 TDs, while Joel Thompson had 6 catches for 79 yards and 2 TDs, as the Tide sit at #18 in the nation with a 5-2 record.
