only time not to talk about the dynasty

Dynasty update later. i am seriously upset about the iron bowl. I tried watching the Michigan Ohio St game, but I had family on one side and friends and in-laws on the other. Anyways USC / CAL is up. But even if SC wins I think UND will be a tough matchup for the Trojans.
Anyways congrats Buckeyes, but F U Auburn
and as for CAL NERDS NERDS NERDS and ASians

michigan football

so there's a big game this weekend, but on a related sad note, Legendary Michigan coach Bo Schembechler has passed away today. Spending most of my childhood summers in Michigan with my cousins, I learned first hand the importance of Bo in the state of Michigan. The black lab that I loved a lot, was named BO, in honor of the coach. The state of Michigan has its cars, Red Wings, and even an entire Sufjan Stevens album, but its the football program in Ann Arbor that defines it. My cousin now lives in Ohio and is married to an Ohio St fan, but he'll still stay loyal to Michigan. My other cousin in Idaho also sports her michigan gear and forces it on her kids. SO RIP BO. Don't get mad at me Chris and Jess, but I'll be rooting for Michigan tomorrow. Well you can get mad at me, but I have to side with family on this one. Although honestly I'll be watching the Iron Bowl and prepping for USC / Cal. So I'm praying for a draw. Anyways here are pics of my niece and my other nephew in Idaho. Yes they both have Michigan parents. Go Blue, Go Buckeyes, Go Trojans, Roll Tide.

2011 Iron Bowl, Bama 9, Auburn 6... seriously!

Bottled water is in short supply in Vancouver and so were touchdowns in the 2011 Iron Bowl. no jokes! I play 6 minute quarters to, my offense is sick, and I played a 9-6 game, perhaps the most intense game ever. Factor this in with the fact that my drinking water is contaminated. Both defenses were on point. Their CBs were all over my star WR like Van city people on bottled water. Chad Arnold was 6-18 for 48 yards. Reese was impressive with 174 yards of rusing as he broke the Bama single season rush yard record, but he could not get into the endzone. Thankfully K Jason Hall hit all his FGs

Things got better as UCLA beat Arizona St, bumping Bama up to #1 in the BCS, even though I'm ranked #2 in both polls. This all thanks the UCLA QB and Midland, Texas native Frank Parker, who actually signed with ASU, but transferred. Oklahoma is #2 in the BCS and we both have to play in our conference title game. Georgia going down, but I hope this doesn't upse t my nephew who seems to be a Bulldogs fan.He probably likes their mascot UGA, he's cool

cory hates L.A.

So not only am I hoping that in real life USC beats CAL and UND , I am also praying that one of the L.A. teams in my Dynasty will beat STD infested Arizona St., so that Bama can play for the national title. Being on the West Coast I've grown to somewhat like L.A. I've become a USC fan (I'll go into this later) and have followed the Kings and Clippers and have read on ton of books on LA culture. But the one thing that will always get to me about L.A. are the cars. Anyways as most of you knonw Christian Lander (I think I'm allowed to use his real name) is a happyWORKING, MARRIED, PROFESSIONAL who rides the buses and bikes all over L.A. Here's a decent rant onBike Riding . Anyways looks like Cory feels the same way about Los Angeles. Anyone who has partied in L.A. or has watched Swingers knows that half the night is spent riding in a car. So boring so lame. At the end of this clip Cory talks of why New York is better in L.A. I want to hate Cory, mostly because she doesn't use face wash, but she makes a valid point. Man her and Chris have so much in common.

bama seniors step up against LSU

First before discussing this match, take note of the fact that Alabama was going up against QB Michael Snyder of San Angelo, TX who in his career had passed over 10,000 yards and with 129 TDs, was 1 short of breaking the NCAA record (set by Colt McCoy in my Dynasty). Also take note of the classic matcups that LSU / Bama has produced

2006 LSU 24, BAMA 21
2007 LSU 24, BAMA 10
2008 BAMA 27, LSU 21
2009 BAMA 38, LSU 36
2010 LSU 28, BAMA 18

So on Senior day in Tuscaloosa, Michael Snyder did indeed achieve his record for career TDS, however no one in their right mind would have predicted the 42-10 onslaught. Sitting 3rd in the BCS Alabama had to make a statement against a decent #17 LSU squad. Even though Josh Reese finished with 110 yards and 2 TDs LSU did a great job against the run, he ran close to 40 times. But in his last game in Tuscaloosa, Coach Joe Namath instructed SR QB Chad Arnold to air it out.Demands from an unknown booster to give the ball more to SO TE Eric Goolsby, saw Bama's first points come in the form of TD pass to the Texas prep star, the first in his career. From then on Chad Arnold took over in a near perfect performance going 14-17 with 209 yards and 3 TDs. SR Joel Thompson caught 7 passes for 143 yards and 2 TDs, while the Bible /Choir singing DL combo of Parker, Saint Preux, Quinn and Bailey (all SRs, all groovin' baptists) stopped LSU's stud HB SO C.J. Oglethorpe and contained Snyder. Bama has now clinched the SEC West and will play Georgia for the SEC Championship. But first they will have to play in the Iron Bowl against Auburn (8-2), whose only losses are to Georgia and Florida.

Joel Thompson on the cover of ESPN

Oklahoma is still at the top of the BCS with only Texas Tech and the BIG 12 title game, but Arizona St at #2 looks the most vulnerable with a match against #11 UCLA (who is undefeated), then USC, then rival Arizona. Hopefully the PAC 10 will help out Bama in their bid for the national title. Its hard to overlook the Iron Bowl, but bigger things look to be on the horizon.

Orange County HB signs with Bama

I'll make this quick because I want to watch a couple episodes of Veronica Mars and play #17 LSU. So Bama managed to sign Hemet California's Carlos Roberts, the #1 HB. Last year's signing of TE Trevor Young of Los Angeles opened up southern california to the Crimson Tide. Hemet is a decent sized desert town of about 60,000 that sits just east of Orange County. Roberts played his FR and SO years for his hometown where he tore it up, but then to get more exposure he transferred to Mission Viejo, the high school of USC QB Mark "Dirty" Sanchez. He led them to the CIF Division II Title, but then decided to transfer for his SR year. He did not like the preppy atmosphere at Mission V as it reminded him too much of the fictional Neptune High in Veronica Mars. Roberts wanted to go to a more hipster school, because his girlfriend from Hemet was really into Latin Alternative Rock. So he enrolled at San Clemente who plays in the same division as Mission V and is also where they filmed Brick and is the high school of the chick below, who was Robert's tour guide on his first day of school. This guy is going to be sick, assuming his girlfriend doesn't dump him

abdullah heisman, cory at ps3 party & more!

first and foremost Justin Abdullah, a native of my favorite suburb Shaker Heights has just won the Hesiman over at Riverdale Palmtrees. Congrats and I'm pretty sure all my Ohio players on my Bama team are blasting out gunshots in the air for this Ohio native.

Also we haven't talked about Cory in awhile and it looks like she had an exciting week. Everything from the BPM Magazine shoot to a PS3 party in Beverly Hills,

after that was the play station 3 party in beverly hills at the old robinsons may....everyone under the hot sun was there.

p diddy performed. her had some major blingage.
the idea of the party was really awesome... they had it layed out like a department store with different departments and everything and they actually had full stocked shevles that everyone was free to have. i got a babydoll and some rubber frogs and duckies.... but the people who came earlier got like shoes and clothes and doll houses. i wanted a doll house. chris weeks was there!!

Hmmm blingage, Dollhouse and Chris Weeks, wow! If you read more, apparently she attended Lindsay Lohans's bday on Saturday, to which Champaign Bubble Girl responded in the comments at 5:46:

Um Lindsay Lohan's birthday is in july...

and then Cory fires back 10 minutes later at 5:56:

oh excuse es moi, then some stupid party of hers....

Notice how Cory uses 4 dots at the end of her statement, while CBG only used 3. Cory wins, Bubble girl sucks!

photo stolen from Cory's site

Anyways between a $5 movie and the return of TS to Van, I was able to sneak in a game (inside info: apparently more people read this than I thought, jerks! Post Comments. I'm a comment whore). So I pounded the shit out of Miss St 41-0. Reese ran for 209 yards and 2 TDs. Bama is now 10-0 and is 3rd in the BCS, with only Oklahoma and Arizona St ahead of them. Thanks in part to a 1 loss Ohio St team who beat an undefeated Penn St.

Very nervous about my next match with #17 LSU. Even though they are coming off a loss to Tennessee. They are 7-2 and I will be very happy that this will be the last time I face their QB Mike Snyder of San Angelo, TX. As FR and SO he gave me problems but Bama still won, however last year he tore through my veteran secondary. Anyways I regret not trying to recruit him but I already had Chad Arnold.

In other news I had a great sleep on the 84 bus on the way to work this morning and was woken up by a smokin blonde in Yoga pants and a Scuba Lulu hoodie when I reached the station. Van people are so nice, this is going to be a good week.

p.s. if you haven't filled out your Texas H.S. Football 5A bracket yet, do it now. Use new link, old one doesn't work anymore.

cheers

bama tide rollin' high since ohio st victory

I've played three games since my upset of #7 Ohio St and all of them have been total Tide Domination. Here are some quick recaps:

Oxford - Bama 40, Ole Miss 14
It was a return back to my favorite politically correct academic institution, and this was a snooze-fest as my entire starting lineup was pulled out by halftime. In 2 quarters Chad Arnold threw for 204 yards and 2 TDs, which allowed the entire bench to get PT in the 2nd half. Even 4th string QB Greg Montogmery of Tuscaloosa, threw a TD, the first TD for Los Angeles TE Trevor Young. Reese had 99 yards and 1 TD

Tuscaloosa - Bama 38, Tennessee 15
The last three years this rivalry was determined by 6 points or less, this year would be different. Going into this game Bama used the same gameplan that they used for Ohio St, which was to run the ball 70% of the time. Reese finished with 221 yards and 3 TDs as the Tide played the possession game. The only bright spot for the Vols on this night was the 5 reception 140 yard 2 TD performance by SO WR Theo Connor, who will surely give Bama headaches in years to come.

Tuscaloosa - Bama 48, Vanderbilt 0
It was homecoming and the Ohio kids put on a show for their fans as Josh Reese rushed for 138 yards and 2 TDs, while Brandon Luke caught 8 passes for 148 yards and 2 TDs. Tears of joy were seen on Coach Namath's face as the crowd chanted "Nerds, Nerds, Nerds!"in the 4th quarter. The heckling of Vandy impressed five star RB Carlos Roberts of Hemet, CA, so much that he signed a letter of intent to play
for Bama in the 2012 season. That fact that Josh Reese along several bitter homecoming queen runner ups were seen at Robert's hotel room, had nothing to do with the signing. Liberal Media are LSU and Auburn fans, jerks!

Speaking of nerds, Stanford spanked UW 20-3 in real life. Anyways, Bama now sits at 8-0 with a cupcake game against Mississippi St up next, but then its LSU and Auburn to close out the regular season. The Tide is #5 in the BCS but who cares, all that matters is the SEC West title as even if Bama goes undefeated they will probably get screwed again. You suck BCS, Atlanta's all that mattters. Oh by the way for more hardcore info, check out the wiki on regular basis. Nuts
